The Masters Degree at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine requires 3,400 hours (four years) of classroom time on subjects including: Oriental Medicine (OM): OM theory, acupuncture theory and techniques, herbology and Western Medicine (pharmacology, physical exam, biology, biophysics, biochemistry, anatomy, neurology, orthopedics, physiology, pathophysiology, clinical science and more). A number of classes also focus on counseling, business practices and ethics. Students spend over 800 hours in a clinic/hospital environment treating patients with a vast array of health challenges.
